How Long Does It Take to Receive My Order?

At City Optics, we understand that timely delivery is important when you're waiting for new eyewear or contact lenses. Delivery timeframes vary depending on the product category, shipping method selected, and your location. All delivery estimates below are inclusive of dispatch time — in-stock orders are normally dispatched within 1–2 business days.

Order Processing Times

In-stock items: Dispatched within 1–2 business days of order placement (included in the delivery estimates below).
Backordered items: Processing times may be extended. We will notify you with an updated dispatch estimate.
Made-to-order contact lenses: Usually 15–25 business days / 3–5 weeks (Australia) or 20–30 business days / 4–6 weeks (New Zealand).

- Standard Shipping: 3–8 business days
- Express Shipping: 2–4 business days
Dry Eye, Accessories & Other Products
- Standard Shipping: 3–8 business days (Express is not available for these products)
Contact Lenses (Alcon, Acuvue, CooperVision & Bausch + Lomb)
- Standard Shipping: 3–8 business days
- Express Shipping: 2–4 business days

Delivery times may vary for regional or remote areas.

Standard International Shipping: 5–9 business days
Express International Shipping: 3–7 business days

Made-to-order items may require additional delivery time as outlined above.

In-Store Purchases with Delivery

If you purchase in-store and choose home delivery within Australia:

Standard Shipping: 3–8 business days
Express Shipping: 2–4 business days

Tracking & Carriers

All orders are shipped using trackable services via Australia Post or StarTrack (depending on product category). Once dispatched, you will receive tracking details so you can monitor your delivery.

Important Notes

Express shipping is only available where it is offered for all products in the order — mixed orders may show Standard shipping only at checkout.
Backorders, supplier delays, public holidays, and courier delays may extend delivery timeframes.
City Optics currently ships within Australia and New Zealand only.
